Peter's a really bright guy (and quite well-respected too). His system is a great way to start out in the flipping business since you get to turn sites over pretty quickly and the average profit margin is better than you'll see flipping startup sites online. I'm pretty sure I recognize your handle from over at the Experienced People Forum. Peter posts there quite regularly and always has good stuff.

I stumbled on this site & read Peter’s interview – very informative, thank you. Having been unemployed for some time and wanting to start my own biz (IT 15+ years) I feel comfortable with this presentation. Having seen the pie-in-the-sky claims by Kevin Wilke and others, Peter’s down-to-earth explanation is refreshing.

I live in a large city and the wheels are already turning with doing one your two free sites for family and friends with small businesses to get
some testimonials to have when approaching your 1st paying customers…

I hear you! I’m sure you’ll figure it out. Just don’t get too hung up on the details of this business. Getting too anal about any one aspect will kill your efforts. Concentrate on your strengths and outsource the rest IF you can afford it. And if you can’t, then force yourself to “let go” of the things you are strong in (in your case design) and spend more time in the other aspects of this business. A pretty site is great but if you have no traffic and sales, who cares…

Thanks for the encouragement. The thing is, I have the skills to make a good looking site. The thing I need to work on is consistency in promoting the site. I love WordPress and graphic design, so I really just need a proper balance between design, content creation and SEO.

If you don’t mind cold calling, then you could make a killing as an offline consultant. Very few Internet Marketers have the balls to cold call – I would be one of them. However, the few I know that do cold call, they are making $10k+ per month implementing some of the ideas in this book.

Even if you don’t cold call you can still do well if you stick with the formula. This book is not a get-rich type book. It’s an honest and real way to make a good living if you stick with it.

Stop by with a progress report if you pursue it. I’d love to hear how it goes for you.

This seems pretty awesome. I’m starting a business building and selling websites and this is really interesting to me.

I live in a pretty small town, but I also leave about an hour and a half from a pretty big city (Charlotte, NC). I’m actually okay with cold calling, as long as I have at least an idea of what to say.
