I agree, the headline shouldn't do any selling, it exists to draw the attention of the right type of buyer. Once he lands on your listing, you should capture him in the first few seconds. Start off with saley talk, hype, or extrapolated figures - like your $30 example becoming $900/month - and he'll hit the back button; you'll have wasted your carefully thought out title.
